PCanywhere 12.1 from Symantec is a remote-control solution that lets you manage computers, resolve help-desk issues quickly, and connect to remote devices simply and securely. Gateway functionality enables remote users to find the hosts they need behind routers or firewalls, with minimal setup and without requiring hosts to have fixed or public IP addresses.
This new version also brings you the award-winning ease of use, security, and versatility youve come to expect from PCanywhere, and it now supports Windows Vista and Mac OS X Universal, as well as certain earlier PC and Mac operating systems. The PCanywhere Gateway provides a single connection point behind routers and firewalls, minimizing port configuration and eliminating the need to "daisy-chain" remote sessions within one another.
The Host Invitation feature enables connections to be made from Host to Remote, instea of the usual Remote to Host. PCanywhere's Cross Platform Remote, Basic View and Tabbed Session Manager all streamline the remote access connection and navigation process. Monitor multiple remote sessions simultaneously in a single multi-pane view. Minimize any potential issues introduced by routers, firewalls, and dynamic IP addressing - invitation objects can be emailed directly to the Host user for immediate secure access.
