This docking station is compatible with most newer ThinkPad laptops utilizing USB 2.0 and is backward compatible with older USB 1.1 models (see below). Features not found on the older docking stations or port replicators include a built in USB 2.0 4-port hub and gigabit ethernet. The older models will only accommodate USB 1.1 and 100mbps ethernet. You can use your IBM / Lenovo ThinkPad notebook like a desktop computer when you connect it to a genuine IBM Mini-Dock docking station.
The ThinkPad Mini-Dock has the following features: pass-through connection of all ThinkPad ports, including modem (RJ11) and 10/100/1000 Ethernet (RJ45) (max 100 mbps for older Thinkpads); Serial, parallel, keyboard, mouse, FDD, monitor, four port USB 2.0 integrated hub (operates at USB 1.1 speed with older ThinkPads), audio line-in, audio line-out, and digital monitor support/DVI; System on/off button on Mini-Dock; it also has a Key-lock security support, including at least one key.
Its compatible with the following IBM ThinkPad models: A20, A21, A21e, A22, A22e, A30, A31, R30, R31, R32, R40, R50, R50p, R51, T20, T21, T22, T23, T30, T40, T41, T42, T43, X20, X21, X22, X23, X24, X30, and X31.
