My Boys Can Swim!: The Official Guy's Guide to Pregnancy book isn't going to enlighten anyone about the ups, downs, and pitfalls of pregnancy. What it does do is take a light hearted look at the subject. There were a few bits that were informative, but for the most part, it was just a breath of fresh air.
As the author put it, if you want a lot of details about pregnancy, consult your wife/partner's ever growing library on the subject. This book is just fun. After reading about how fragile women supposedly become during pregnancy, this is a nice change, written from a guy's point of view. This book is a great relief for the expectant dad who doesn't know what to do or how to handle the joy/stress/excitement. The actual useful information is not as plenty, but the fun of reading someone else's follies and realizing that every concerned, expectant father goes through a roller coaster of events, feelings, worries, etc., is very reassuring. This is a book that would be a great help for expectant fathers!
