The Canon Wireless Remote Control allows the trigger of the shutter release even when you are 16 feet away from your camera, which is most likely mounted on a tripod. It does not have a wire that will interfere with movement. It allows a completely wireless camera operation. This is due to the infrared technology. It is capable of a 2-second shutter release delay if you want to be more creative with the images you get.
Although the Canon Wireless Remote Control is customized for the Canon Digital Rebel, it will also work well with other Canon EOS cameras. For really sharp images, the Canon Wireless Remote Control is something that you cannot do without.
