Karate Martial Arts Necklace
Karate: Karate literally means 'Empty Hand' in Japanese. It is a symbol revered throughout the martial arts community as it is in essence what martial arts stands for.
The 'empty hand' is a sign of non-agression but when forced to defend, the 'empty hand' is transformed into a lethal weapon.
Karate is believed to have developed on the Island of Okinawa in Japan but it's roots can be traced back to China and Kung Fu.
Karate can be divided into three elements: kihon (basics), kata (forms) and kumite (sparring).
Honor the tradition that is Karate with our Karate 'Empty Hand' necklace.
All of our necklaces are individually made and hand painted - no two necklaces are alike - each is as unique and different as the person who wears them.

About Kanji Necklaces
The origins of Kanji and Kanji calligraphy date back to the 3rd century when fleeing Buddhist monks from China found sanctuary in Japan. Free from persecution, the monks developed a highly creative form of Kanji art which we see today.
Many eastern traditional spiritual leaders believe that through Kanji the inner Chi is both re-affirmed and strengthened. As in yoga and the martial arts, connecting with the inner self brings focus - focus brings peace of mind, body and spirit.
Each Kanji symbol is representative of a persons inner Chi (spirit).
Express and strengthen your own inner Chi with our unique handmade uisex Kanji pendant necklaces.
We use only natural materials (hemp, leather, hemlock) in the making of our necklaces.
