Solid Silver & Cut Glass Claret Jug. This is a beautiful Victorian Solid Silver & Cut Glass Claret Jug. It has a solid silver mounted pouring lip, collar, hinged lid and handle. The lip has a conical shell pattern to it and the rim of the top opening has a beaded decoration. The hinged lid has a decorative finial. The handle forms a triangular shape to the glass baluster shaped glass body. The cut glass body is highly decorative which can best be described as a snowflake pattern. The hallmarks are very crisp and clear.

Assay Office: SHEFFIELD

Date: 1887

Makers Marks: HA (Atkin Brothers)

Dimensions: 8.25 inches tall, 4.25 inches wide including the handle, and the actual glass body is 4 inches wide at its widest point. This is also quite heavy and weighs a total of 30.3/8oz (861g)

Condition: It is in super conditon

Remarks: This really is a beautiful 121 year old solid silver and cut glass claret jug that would grace any home. Fill it with your favourite claret and serve to your friends or family - I am sure they will be impressed. Do not keep in a cupboard when not in use as it makes a stunning display item
