Side-By-Side Review
The Sole S77 is $900 more than the Sole F63 so you wouldn't be surprised to see that 99 times out of 100, the Sole S77 breaks down later than the Sole F63 under similar use. But does this comparison end here? You can certainly figure out the Sole S77 is a better built treadmill based on common sense so why is it even necessary to compare them? By comparing these two treadmills, we see just how much better the Sole S77 is than the Sole F63 so you can determine which one is the better fit for your home. (But if budget is no concern, by all means get the Sole S77, or even the TT8 which is even better than the S77.)
As you may or may not be aware, the Sole S77 is essentially the non folding version of the Sole F85 in almost every way. (Sole F85 is the best folding treadmill from Sole Fitness.) This makes the Sole S77 among one of the highest quality treadmills from Sole Fitness. However, it's certainly not the priciest as the F85 and the TT8 cost more with only a small difference in quality, reliability and features. In fact, the Sole S77 is probably the best deal from Sole in terms of balancing features and price. It's perfect for those that don't want to spend more than they necessarily have to yet want a high quality treadmill that can last them many miles down the road.
The F63 features a 2.5 HP motor while the S77 is 3.5 HP. This makes the F63 suitable for jogging while the S77 is more than suitable for running. The Sole S77 also comes with a belt that measures in at 20"X60" which is five inches longer than the Sole F63's 20"X55". Both treadbelts are of a respectable size but taller runners might feel the 20"X55" restrictive at times.
The motor on the Sole S77 treadmill also allows the user to go up to speeds as fast as 12 mph while the Sole F63's max speed is only 10 mph. This is perhaps a wise decision by Sole because when you're going as fast as 12 mph, you have to take huge strides. Strides so long that the belt at 55" might not be long enough. Also by going so fast, the motor has to work harder. At 2.5 HP in the Sole F63, it might not be wise for it to go so fast.
Finally, we come to the warranty which is most telling of the warranty. We see the Sole S77 treadmill is protected by a monster lifetime deck and frame, 5 years parts and 2 years labor warranty. The Sole F63 on the other hand still comes in with a respectable 3 years parts and 1 year labor warranty.
Winner – Sole S77
