Can You Cross Stitch?

Cross-stitch is counted-thread embroidery where X-shaped stitches are used to form a picture. Several colors of embroidery thread are used.
Cross-stitch is counted on woven fabric. You count the threads in each direction so that the stitches are the same size x’s. Cross-stitch is also called counted cross-stitch. Cross-stitch is usually done on printed fabric (stamped cross-stitch). You simply cover the printed pattern by stitching over it.
Cross stitch isn’t just some boring needlework for Grannies and unmarried aunts. Millions of people out there – young and old- are taking up cross stitching, even men enjoy the hobby!
