The Sole E55 elliptical and the Sole E95 elliptical trainer are the two highest quality ellipticals from Sole Fitness and thus, are also their two most expensive units. Most of the time, there’s a $200 price difference between the two. Let’s take a look at what’s different between these two machines.
For the most part, there are only minor differences between the E55 and the E95. The E55 is a little lighter so this is going to contribute to a less stable frame compared to the E95. As a result, if you’re a heavier user, you’re going to find the heavier Sole E95 a better fit for you.
There are also some differences in the console. Although both ellipticals have a screen (also known as the “profile matrix”) that is the same size, the Sole E95 has two colors (red and green) compared to only the one color on the E55 (blue). You’ll also find that the message window below the profile matrix can fit 20 characters on the E95 compared to the 12 on the E55. Lastly, you get a little something extra on the Sole E95 that you don’t on the Sole E55 and that little something is called the HR Percentage Graph.
In general, the Sole E95 looks a bit better than the E55 as can be seen by how they decorate the exterior a little different. For example, you’ll find slightly better looking handgrips on the more expensive Sole E95 elliptical. You’ll also see plastic shrouds on the rear rails on the E95. Although it’s totally dependent on personal taste, for most people, the Sole E95 is likely to sport a sexier look.
In terms of warranty, they’re identical. This suggests that neither elliptical is likely to outperform one another in terms of quality in the long run. If you want to save a few bucks, the Sole E55 is a good choice. If you want to play things safe, you should get the Sole E95 elliptical.
Don’t forget that both ellipticals features a fan to help you stay cool and built in speakers so you can plug in your MP3 player to keep you pumped and motivated throughout your workout.
