1959 Mercury Mark 78A 70hp,Vintage Toy Outboard Motor by K&O. K&O outboards were made from
1952 to 1962, and are available only from collectors. K&O ceased
production in 1962. Serious collectors will recognize this particular
motor as more common than some, but still very desirable. This is the
regular motor and not the very rare gas tank motor. I believe this was
the first issue of the white motors, and it has blue decals.
Estimated to be in very good condition. The 6-inch tall motor has
original factory paint with a few minor abrasions, scuffs and paint
chipping. The decals are complete with no chips in them. The motor ran
when tested. The transom clamps and propeller are excellent and
complete. Please check all my auction listings. As of this date I have
two K&O motors that are looking for a good home with a collector.
