Very clean and pretty 172 would be worth 130K to 128 K. However,
this airplane has damage history so you can buy it for 30K less. In
Febuary of 07 this airplane ran off the side of the runway while
landing, hit a ditch collapsing the nose gear and flipped inverted. It
sounds bad but it was actually an easy fix.The rudder, vertical fin,
right wing and strut, and firewall, are all undamaged components from
other 172,s same year range from Wentworth Salvage. The left wing was
repaired in a jig by Star Aero, a certified sheet metal repair shop in
Clinton MO. The firewall was installed by Ollie,s Aircraft Repair from
ST Charles MO who has been in the aircraft repair buisness for over 60
years. The engine tear down inspection for prop strike was also done by
Ollie,s. No damage was found. Was reassembled with all new bearings
gaskets and spark plugs, and installed back on the airplane.
Compressions were 1:74/80 2:78/80 3:76/80 4:75/80 Engine mount was
overhauled by Kosola and Assoc. from GA. Exaust was overhauled by
Dawlys from WI. Nose gear was undamaged and reinstalled. Overhauled
prop is from Hanco Enterprises In Iowa. Spinner and cowlings were
undamaged and are original. All new hardware was used for
reassembly. The airplane was not repainted except for the repair work
on the left wing. Paint is an exact match. I have all yellow tags and
337. The repairs are well documented and all paperwork has been sent to
the FAA.
This airplane looks and flies beautiful. It flew sraight from the
very first test flight. the only tweaking required was the rudder trim
tab to get the ball in the center on the turn coordinater. We took no
cheap shortcuts in the repair of this airplane. It shows up in looks
and in flight. This airplane is perfect. Absolutely no squawks. Any
squawk you find in prebuy inspection I will get fixed. I have put on
about 14 hrs since it,s been repaired and it has performed
flawlessly. I will have tanks topped off with fuel so you can fly home
with a good start, or I will deliver anywhere in the USA for the
expense. If any squawks arise during delivery I will take care of. You
wont be disappointed in this airplane gauranteed. Listed at Aircraft4Auction.com
